OS-HELP loans

OS-HELP is an Australian Government loan scheme designed to assist eligible undergraduate students to undertake some of their university studies overseas.

UOW students may apply for an OS-HELP loan of more than $5,000 per session of overseas study (max. two sessions) to use towards airfare, accommodation and other travel/study expenses.

The OS-HELP loan is repaid with your accumulated HELP debt (including HECS) through the Australian taxation system after graduation from UOW. From January 1, 2010 OS-Help loans will no longer incur a 20% loan fee!  Students are encouraged to obtain an OS-HELP application form from the UOW Study Abroad Office to submit with their application to the Exchange Program. You do not need a guarantor to receive an OS-HELP loan.

Visit www.goingtouni.gov.au for further information and full eligibility criteria.
