Visiting International Scholar Awards
The Vice Chancellor’s Visiting International Scholar Awards aim to provide funding to support internationally based, outstanding midcareer researchers to visit UOW for a period of 2 to 6 months to enhance the University’s research performance by:
- Collaborating on research projects;
- Building new linkages and connections with high quality international research institutions.
The program will run from 2015-2019, and a total of 40 Visiting International Scholar Awards (VISAs) will be offered during that period. Funds are available to support the costs of economy class airfares, accommodation and living expenses for each visiting scholar, including their families (up to a total of $10,000 per VISA).
Successful applicants will have a highly competitive track record relative to opportunity and propose an innovative, collaborative research program with the potential to make a significant contribution to the University’s research profile and priority research areas.
Projects must also align with the research strategies of the host Faculty (including Australian Institute of Innovative Materials (AIIM)).
