Semester Programs

The Study Abroad and Exchange Program is designed for international students who wish to spend either one semester (six months) or two semesters (one year) in a program of study at Wollongong and transfer the credits to their home institution.

The University of Wollongong has established formal exchange agreements with a number of partner universities around the world. The exchange program allows a number of students from these institutions to enrol as Exchange students at the University of Wollongong on a tuition waiver basis. To apply as an Exchange student you must be nominated by the exchange coordinator of your home institution and the University of Wollongong must accept your application. If your home institution does not have a formal Student Exchange Agreement with the University of Wollongong, or the exchange numbers are unevenly balanced, you can apply to participate as a fee-paying Study Abroad student. Most of the information on these web pages is relevant to both groups of students.

If you are a current University of Wollongong student wishing to go on exchange visit the International Exchange Program website.
