Planning a Program of Study
Most subjects offered at UOW are available to students who can satisfy the normal subject pre-requisites.
PLEASE NOTE: Some faculties have restricted/closed subjects for study abroad and exchange students. Please refer to the Study Plan Explanation Sheet for specific restrictions.
Choosing the Appropriate Subject Level
100 level indicates either an introductory subject or a subject where a limited amount of previous knowledge is required;
200 level is intermediate, and requires some prior study in the relevant area;
300 level requires a student to have a strong background in the subject area;
400 level/Honours subjects and Postgraduate subjects are only available to students who have completed an undergraduate degree at their home university. Proof of completion must be provided with your application to gain approval.
It is your responsibility to ensure that all subjects chosen at UOW are approved for transfer of credit to your home university.
Pre-Approval Study Plan Process
Permission for enrolment in subjects which require Faculty pre-approval (as indicated on the above Study Plan Explanation Sheet) can be obtained prior to arriving at UOW by submitting a Study Abroad and Exchage Study Plan with your offer acceptance.
Study Plans must be received by the due dates:
Autumn Session (February Intake) - 30 November
Spring Session (July intake) - 01 May
Portfolios MUST be submitted with the study plan for Creative Arts subjects as identified on the Study Plan Explanation Sheet.
