What excited you most about coming to uni?
Meeting new people, studying something that really interests me and getting involved in lots of different things

How were your expectations met?
Way more exciting and fun that I even imagined! Met some beautiful people and made life long friends.

What do you like best at UOW? Why?
The sense of belonging. Over the years I’ve built some amazing friendships and relationships with other students and my lecturers, making them very approachable.

If you had to give somebody one reason—and one only—to study at UOW, what would it be?
The opportunities that are there for the taking, all you have to do is put your hand up!

What’s your favourite class? Why?
Chemistry because I know everyone and work along side most of my lecturers so they know me on a first name basis.

What’s it like living on-campus/in a share house/by yourself?
Living out of home has been an awesome move. I’ve gained a lot of independence and have had to learn how to cook!

Why did you choose your particular degree?
After a UOW Discovery Day and first hearing of Nanotechnology I have been enthusiastic about it and can’t imagine doing anything else with my life!

What kind of career might you like to pursue after graduation?
I’d like to further my research while I travel overseas!

Do you think studying at UOW is preparing you for the future? If so, how?
Definitely! I feel that everything involved in my degree as well as participating in extra curricular activities is setting me up with the knowledge and life skills that will project me into an exciting career and life!

What have you learned about yourself while studying at UOW?
I can do anything I put my mind to!
