Shopping
In the Wollongong City Centre, there are a range of department stores and speciality stores that will provide you with everything you need.
Crown Street Mall
Crown Street Mall is the largest shopping destination in Wollongong and the Illawarra with Wollongong Central Shopping Centre, David Jones, Myer, Rebel Sport and over 300 specialty stores.
Visit Crown Street Mall online or Wollongong City Centre for more information.
Most stores are open from 9am to 5pm between Monday and Friday, and 10am to 4pm on Saturday and Sunday. Some stores stay open until 9pm on Thursdays for ‘late night shopping’. Others may be closed or have reduced trading hours over the weekend.
Regional Shopping Centres
Major regional shopping centres are located at Corrimal, Figtree, Dapto and Warrawong.
Markets and Street Stalls
The Wollongong markets operate every Thursday and Saturday. Two additional venues for locally produced arts and crafts are the Coledale School Markets, held on the fourth Sunday of every month; and the Wollongong Produce & Creative Traders Market, held every Friday in the Wollongong City Mall.
For more information visit Wollongong Markets.
Shopping in Sydney
Sydney is only a short drive or a quick ride on the train, and there are many different areas with good shopping.
In the Sutherland Shire, Westfield Miranda is close to public transport or easy to get to by car. This shopping centre is larger than those in Wollongong. For a list of stores click here.
For shopping in the city visit the City of Sydney.
