The role of the Academic staff development committee is to facilitate communication between the faculties and staff development providers. It aims to:
Identify priorities for academic staff development drawn from existing University plans and policies, and external higher education bodies.
Monitor, review and make recommendations for improvement to academic staff development processes including: undergraduate and postgraduate teaching development; research skill development; leadership development; career development and Occupational Health and Saftey.
Share information about faculty needs, ensure effective discussion and dissemination of information about academic development to faculties, and promote faculty participation in academic staff development.
