High School

How much it costs

All domestic undergraduate places at UOW are Commonwealth supported places. On average, the Australian Government contributes about three quarters of the total tuition fee for Commonwealth supported students. You pay the remainder, which is called the “student contribution”. You can find a detailed explanation of student contributions on the UOW fees information page

Student contributions depend on the study area, and change from year to year. The 2012 student contributions are as follows:

What is HECS-HELP?

HECS-HELP is a loan scheme you can use to defer the costs of your student contribution and pay them back later through the Australian Tax Office once your income reaches a minimum amount ($47,196 in 2011-2012).

It is available to all Australian citizens and holders of permanent humanitarian visas who are enrolled in a Commonwealth supported place. Detail information can be found on the Australian Government’s Study Assist web site.
