UOW Open night for students and their parents 

Choosing a career can be difficult. At UOW we want to give you as many opportunities as possible to get all of the information you need to set course for your future.

Event Details

Open Night is a chance for high school students and their parents to visit the UOW campus, to meet University staff, students and graduates, and get their questions answered about choosing a career and gaining entry into university.

By attending this night you will be able to:

  • See firsthand why our campus is so special on a UOW Campus Tour
  • Speak one to one with faculty staff from UOW’s nine faculties 
  • Attend up to three faculty specific information sessions

Open Night Program

3.30 - 5.00pm      Campus Tours

Campus Tours will leave from the Mckinnon Foyer (bld 67) four times on the night: 3.30pm, 4.00pm 4.30pm and 5.00pm. There is no need to make a separate booking to attend a tour. 

The Creative Arts Faculty will have their painting & sculpture studios, Journalism labs, edit suites and performance spaces open for guests to view from 3.30pm. 

5.40pm - 8.30pm      Faculty Sessions

Each of UOW’s nine faculties will run three consecutive sessions - this means you can hear from three different faculties on the night, not just one! Attend these sessions to learn more about the faculty as well as study areas, early entry and careers that you are considering for life after school. 

Each faculty will have an information stand in the foyer of the building their session is in, this will be staffed 20minutes before the first session and for the 20 minutes between each session. General UniAdvice information stands will also be in each building.

Note: Each session will be run three times during the night.

* This session will include information on Creative Writing, Visual Arts, Graphic Design and the Bachelor of Digital Media

For example, if you are interested in studying Commerce you only need to attend the Commerce session once. Reserve a place in 1, 2 or 3 faculty sessions.

A UOW Campus Tour will give you the opportunity to see firsthand why our campus is so special. A guided campus and faculty tour will give you and your family a closer look at University life - and the chance to ask as many questions as you like.
