In order to receive a Confirmation of Enrolment (COE), you need to successfully accept your offer. To accept your offer, please carefully read all of the required steps below.
If you have received a package offer, you should complete the Acceptance Agreement for each component of the offer that you wish to accept. For example, if your offer is for English plus an academic program, you should complete the separate Acceptance Agreements for both your English course and your academic course, and return the Fee Payable shown on each Acceptance Agreement.
Step 1. Clear any conditions on your offer
If you have any conditions on your offer letter, you must provide certified evidence that you have met those conditions. Your acceptance cannot be finalised until you have cleared your conditions. If you have a package offer, you will clear conditions as you progress. Any conditions not relating to progression will need to be cleared prior to accepting (e.g. certified transcripts).
If you have an unconditional offer, go to Step 2.
Step 2. Complete the acceptance agreement
Check that all of the details are correct, including the course information and start dates.
Read the agreement information on the form.
If the details are correct, and you have read and understood all information on the form, sign it to accept the offer.
Email your acceptance (with any required additional documents) to the UOW Admissions email that you received your offer of admission from. If you cannot locate your offer email, you can send your acceptance to UOW Future Students, who will direct your email appropriately.
Step 3. UOW confirmation (for applicants applying without an agent)
UOW will review your acceptance and advise you if and when it is appropriate to submit payment (Fee Payable). Submitting fees before receiving confirmation may result in a lengthy refund process if your application does not proceed.
If you have applied through a UOW representative (agent), you will usually not be required to wait for confirmation from UOW in order to submit payment.
Step 4. Pay fees
You must submit the Fee Payable before a COE will be issued. Payment should be made within a timeframe that allows sufficient time for visa processing. Visa processing can take up to three months for some countries.
Do not pay the Fee Payable directly to a third party, i.e. to a party other than UOW or UOW College. For example, do not make payment of tuition fees to a representative office or education agent of UOW; or an individual staff member of an education agent; or to an institution, such as a pathway university or college.
Payment by Flywire
Flywire allows you to pay from almost any country and any bank. They also offer excellent foreign exchange rates, allowing you to pay in your home currency (in most cases) and save money, compared to traditional banks. You will be able to track the progress of your payment throughout the transfer process with a student dashboard and you will also be notified by email when your payment is received by UOW. Flywire aims to provide the best price for international payments with their Best Price Guarantee.
Visit www.flywire.com/pay/uow to make your payment.
Sponsored Students (available only to Sponsored Students whose fees will be paid directly to UOW by a government or institutional sponsor)
Provide supporting documents from your sponsor (for example, a Financial Guarantee or letter of sponsorship). The University must have an agreement with your sponsor before you can choose this option. Further information about privacy and consent is available at Sponsored Students.
Step 5. Provide any additional documents requested
In addition to the documents required to complete the above steps, you may be asked to provide further information with your acceptance. For example, you may be asked to provide evidence of financial capacity. If so, you will be advised of this requirement by email directly from UOW, or by your UOW representative.
Confirmation of Enrolment
If you successfully complete the above steps, an electronic Confirmation of Enrolment (eCOE) will be emailed to you or your UOW representative. You need this to apply for a student visa.
