Guidelines for Prospective Students

General Criteria

The following criteria apply to all UOW undergraduate Scholarships:

• Applicants must be commencing study as a first year full-time undergraduate student. NB: all scholarships are conditional of the student receiving a valid offer to study at UOW.
• Applicants must be Australian citizens or holders of an Australian permanent Resident Visa (except where advised otherwise).
• Applicants may apply for more than one scholarship but will be eligible to hold only one scholarship.

Remember that there are additional criteria for each scholarship that will differ.

Interview Guidelines

After the closing date, applications are reviewed by a selection committee. Where necessary, interviews of short-listed applicants will be take place on Campus between October and January. Candidates required for interview will be notified at the time.

Those coming on campus for an interview should treat the scholarship interview like a job interview. You are encouraged to dress appropriately for your interview. If you do not have professional attire, we encourage you to wear your school uniform.

If you have certificates or any other documentation that was not included in your application (at UOW’s request), you are more than welcome to bring them to the interview.

You may be invited to attend more than one interview, and we encourage you to attend as many as possible. Please keep note that you allowed to hold only one scholarship at a time.
