Welcome to Wollongong header 
The City of Wollongong would like to officially welcome all new students and staff to their new home. We warmly invite everyone to Welcome to Wollongong, an afternoon where you can meet Wollongong Lord Mayor Gordon Bradbery, traditional elders and the local community are all looking forward to meeting new members of the Illawarra Community.
 
When: Midday 12.00pm-2.00pm,  Thursday 21 March
Where: Duck Pond Lawn, Wollongong Campus (Northfields Ave)
 Come along!
  • Be welcomed by the Lord Mayor, traditional indigienous elders and local dignitaries
  • Enjoy a FREE indigenous performances
  • Meet other new students and their families who are new to the region
  • Learn what services and opportunities are available to you here in the City of Wollongong
  • FREE entertainment and food

 

About Welcome to Wollongong

Welcome to Wollongong is an event held biannually for new students and staff at the University of Wollongong, TAFE and local high schools, especially those new to the City of Wollongong. We hope to make everyone feel welcome, provide information about what is happening in the local community and give local residents the opportunity to meet our newest community members.
