Thesis writing resources

The Learning Development website offers a range of free resources and teaching services to all enrolled students who wish to improve their academic performance.

The module Research and thesis writing, will help you to:

1. learn about various research models
2. prepare a research proposal
3. structure your thesis and its chapters
4. write convincingly of your research outcomes and implications.

There is also information on Common Thesis Structures.

The function of the resources is to assist postgraduate research students with the task of writing a thesis by

• Making explicit the characteristics of typical theses and
• By providing direct instruction about achieving some of those characteristics.
