More than $3 million awarded for vital medical research
Researchers have received more than $3.2 million in funding to develop new breast cancer drugs, reduce obesity and fight dementia.

Pitch perfect for innovators and entrepreneurs
From a modular music system for children, to a fatigue measurement tool for chemotherapy patients and a mobile app for Grey Nomads, the 2015 UOW Pitch program represented the breadth of entrepreneurial spirit at UOW. Staff winners were Dr Amy Wyatt and Professor Mark Wilson (pictured, at left) with their project 'A novel half-molecule strategy to combat inflammatory disorders'.

Numbers stack up for Researcher of the Year
Individual and teams of professional and academic staff were acknowledged for their efforts across a range of categories including for research, teaching and learning and community engagement. The Researcher of the Year prize was awarded to Future Fellow Professor Aidan Sims from the School of Mathematics and Applied Statistics.
