UEC Subcommittees

To conduct its business the UEC utilises five subcommittees each responsible for their own education policy areas:

  • Education Policy Review Subcommittee (EPRS)
  • Standards & Quality Subcommittee (SAQS)
  • Learning Environment & Technology Subcommittee (LETS)
  • Teaching Excellence Subcommittee (TES) 
  • Learning Engagement & Support Subcommittee (LESS)

Education Policy Review Subcommittee (EPRS)

The main role of EPRS is to ensure the University's education and student management policies effectively support quality learning and teaching. Link to Terms of Reference.

Teaching Excellence Subcommittee (TES)

The Teaching Excellence Subcommittee promotes good practice in learning and teaching and oversees and conduct the University's Outstanding Contribution to Teaching and Learning (OCTAL) Awards.

Learning Engagement and Support Subcommittee (LESS)

The Learning Engagement and Support Subcommittee (LESS) facilitates good practice in student learning and engagement across the University and develops, monitors and reviews learning and teaching activities to ensure that they contribute to the student learning experience.
