BlueScope Steel offers a Business/Commerce scholarship at UOW which comprises a $10,000 benefit plus up to 12 weeks work experience at the Port Kembla Steelworks. BlueScope Steel will attempt to provide the successful applicant with a placement or project for a student studying accounting or finance in a Business/Commerce degree. The scholarship is open to an outstanding candidate in second year of a Bachelor of Business or Bachelor of Commerce degree. It is a competitive scholarship based on academic results in the first year as well as community activities on a demonstrated interest in following a career in Business/Commerce.

The scholarship is open to an outstanding student who has completed all of the specified requirements of the Twinning Program between Shue Yan College, Hong Kong and the UOW Faculty of Business. To be eligible to apply, the student must have achieved overall outstanding academic performance based on criteria for ranking students by Shue Yan College. The scholarship will be awarded only if there is a candidate of sufficient merit. To retain this award in the second year of study at UOW, the recipient must achieve an overall average of 65%.
