Volunteering, MENTORING AND SPEAKING

UOW offers a range of opportunities for alumni to volunteer as a way of giving back to your University, while having fun and developing new skills and friendships.

Some volunteer opportunities include:

Graduation

Graduation ceremonies take place at the Wollongong campus in July and December each year. Volunteers are always needed to greet guests, hand out graduation booklets and direct students and guests to appropriate seating areas.

Student Mentoring programs

UOW's Careers Central offer a range of student mentoring programs and workshops to help prepare students for life after study.

Please contact Careers Central to indicate your interest in supporting current UOW students.

Guest Speaking

The Alumni Relations Office regularly seeks guest speakers for key UOW events. These can include networking functions and current student seminars, plus many more.

The Centre for Student Engagement (CSE) is the extra-curricular service centre for current students and also seeks alumni as guest speakers for its leadership programs. Please contact the Centre for Student Engagement for more information.
