Commerce Business Alumni Network

The Commerce Business Alumni Network represents alumni and current students in the Faculty of Commerce and the Sydney Business School at both the Wollongong and Sydney campuses.

The Commerce Business Alumni Network committee meetings are held locally in Wollongong . The Network committee members fund an annual Alumni Award. The recipient of the award receives a plaque as well as their name engraved on the Commerce Faculty Honours Board. They also receive $500 to award to a current student who achieves academic excellence in the criteria of the winner's choice. 

The Commerce Business Alumni Network objectives are:

  • Promote the Faculty of Commerce of the University of Wollongong
  • Provide a conduit for interaction between Alumni and industry, commerce and professional associations
  • Inform alumni about developments at the University
  • Facilitate professional networking
  • Promote the Network to students of the Faculty of Commerce at the University of Wollongong

Breakfast Seminar Series

The Commerce Business Alumni Network organise a number of breakfast seminars. These seminars are promoted via email and all alumni regardless of their academic background are welcome to attend.

In April 2009, the Commerce Business Alumni Network welcomed Nieves Murray, CEO, Illawarra Retirement Trust to speak about challenges facing Illawarra businesses. Read more here.
