Marie Lewis Award
The Marie Lewis Award is in honour of the late Marie Lewis; Marie was a graduate of the University worked in Student Administration between 1983 and 1997.
The Award recognises the achievement of a member of the general staff who is completing a degree. Selection is based on academic performance and service to the University. The prize has a value of $1,000.
Eligible staff are invited to self-nominate for this award. Nominations for 2009 have closed.
To be eligible, candidates must:
- be a non-academic member of staff
- be employed for at least 3 days per week
- be a member of the University or its subsidiaries, ITC, UniCentre or URAC
- have been enrolled for at least one academic year
- be currently enrolled
- have not received the award previously
The successful candidate will be selected by the DVC (A&I) and the Academic Registrar after considering academic performance as measured by ‘Average mark’ and ‘Contribution to the University and its students’ as evaluated by supporting statements from the candidate's supervisor or others as appropriate.
