UOW Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander Research Strategy Committee
The University of Wollongong’s Innovate Reconciliation Action Plan 2022-2024 (RAP) aims to establish UOW as an institution that champions Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander contribution, and that celebrates, instils, and advances Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander culture.
To support the continuous growth and development of First Nations-led research as recommended in the RAP, UOW is developing its inaugural Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Research Strategy. The Strategy will aim to:
- Ensure appropriate support and development opportunities are provided to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander researchers;
- Attract and retain Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander researchers at the University;
- Broaden the scope of research conducted by Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander researchers;
- Raise the profile of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander researchers at the University of Wollongong; and
- Build our Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander research strength.
