Christmas Campaign

Uow Cares seedling

You don't have to leave campus to make a difference.

This December UOW Cares is hosting 'Pay it Forward Thursday' on December 4. This is a day where staff an students can find out about the charities that they can support under UOW Cares as well as other great volunteering options right here on campus. UOW Staff generosity has already made a tangible difference in the community, this year we just wanted to showcase the variety of ways that staff can give back here on campus and offer staff the opportunity to speak with our charities firsthand. Stay tuned for more details- we look forward to sharing this day with you.

your donation matters

In 2013, the generosity of UOW staff members:

  • Funded the Headspace Wollongong “Managing Mental Health Group” to educate young people about mental illness.
  • It also allowed the Australian Indigenous Mentoring experience (AIME) to employee more casual staff in Wollongong and South Coast to reach more schools in Wollongong, Bega and the Shoalhaven, and
  • Staff contributions restored sight to 225 people in the developing world through the Fred Hollows Foundation.

That’s just some of the amazing results of Staff generosity.  Your donations made a real difference in the lives of our community!

What can we do together in 2014?
