Abstract

This project reports on research carried out on modelling neural behaviour and other types of excitable systems for the subject MATH235. It provides background information on the various models, as well as analysis on the mathematical dynamics of the models. This analysis is performed to explain the excitable nature of these systems in a mathematical stand point, and in a physical sense. My project supervisors were: Prof. Mark Nelson, Dr. Marianito Rodrigo, Dr. Alex Harris.
