I always take a photograph of my whiteboard when I leave an institution. It's an easy way to keep track of both the work that's been done and the work that remains to be done!

During my visit to ADFA (15th February 1999 to 30th April 1999) I shard an office with John Billingham. Our policy was that one guy used the whole whiteboard writing in one colour, then the next guy used the whole whiteboard using a different colour without first cleaning it. If we'd developed this technique in more detail we could have finished with a nice piece of art...
