PhD scholarship (Machine Learning & Computer Vision)
A full PhD scholarship is now available in School of Computer Science and Software Engineering, University of Wollongong, Australia for perspective students who are interested in pursuing a PhD in Machine Learning, Pattern Recognition and Computer Vision.
This is a UOW-NICTA joint scholarship and the research topic is on Sample-wise Learning and Its Applications. The successful applicant will join the VILA team in UOW and will be jointly supervised by UOW and NICTA research staff.
This scholarship includes international tuition-fee waiver scholarship and the stipend of AUD$26,000+ per annum. This scholarship is paid fortnightly for the period of three years with an option for a six-month extension.
Both Australia domestic and international prospective students are welcomed to apply. The applicants are expected to have excellent academic track record in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or closely related areas. Research experience and high-quality publications on machine learning and computer vision will be a big plus.

China Scholarship Council (CSC) – UOW Joint Postgraduate Scholarships Program
The China Scholarship Council (CSC) and the University of Wollongong (UOW) are jointly offering postgraduate research scholarships to students from the People’s Republic of China who intend to undertake a postgraduate research degree at the University of Wollongong. UOW will provide an International Postgraduate Tuition Award (IPTA) to each student selected under this program. This IPTA will pay the full tuition fees.
UOW may also accept students from Chinese University partner institutions for visiting research training programs whereby CSC students will be enrolled at the Chinese institution but will spend a component of their degree at UOW.
