Enabling and disabling FlexScale

You can enable the WAFL extended cache functionality for a storage system that has the Performance Accelerator Module installed.

Considerations

The flexscale.enable option enables or disables FlexScale functionality. If your storage system does not have the Performance Accelerator Module, the flexscale.enable option enables or disables Predictive Cache Statistics (PCS).

FlexScale needs to be independently licensed. PCS does not need a license, however.

Step

Enter the following command: options flexscale.enable {on|off}
The default value is off.
