The following are some
/etc/rc
errors that might cause the system to become in accessible:
- You specify an incorrect network address, using the ifconfig command. The storage system is inaccessible because it is not on the network.
- You improperly export storage system directories to the NFS client that is the administration host. The storage system is inaccessible because you cannot mount the system root directory on the NFS client.
Steps

Enter one of the following commands on the console to configure the interface with the correct address.

Enter the exportfs command to export the storage system root directory to the administration host. |

Add a share to the storage system root directory. |
- Edit the storage system /etc/rc file from the administration host.
- Reboot the storage system.
