You can boot the current release or the backup release of Data ONTAP when you are at the boot environment prompt.
Considerations
The
boot environment prompt may be ok>,
CFE>, or LOADER>, depending on your storage system model.
Steps

If you are at the storage system prompt, enter the following command:halt
The storage system console displays the boot environment prompt.
- At the boot environment prompt, enter one of the following commands:

For a FAS900 series storage system, enter boot at the boot environment prompt.
