After you have installed root certificates on your storage system, you must also install them on your Windows clients.
Steps
- Download the root certificate (in CER format, if possible) from the
certificate authority's web site.
- If the root certificate is not in CER format it, convert it to CER
format.
You can convert the certificate using the openssl utility. For more information, search
the Internet for "openssl."
- Start the Microsoft Management Console (MMC).
From the Start menu, choose Run. Then enter mmc.
- Right-click the Trusted Root Certification Authorities folder in
the Certificates (Local Computer) store, and then select Import
from the All Tasks menu. Then use the Certificate Import wizard to
import the root certificate.
