How to enable and disable routing mechanisms

Both the fast path mechanism and the routed daemon are enabled by default in Data ONTAP. You can enable or disable these routing mechanisms using the command line or FilerView.

Note: If you disable both fast path and the routed daemon, you must be prepared to configure routing manually.

Turning fast path on or off
You can turn fast path on or off using the options ip.fastpath.enable command.
Turning routed on or off at the command line
You can turn the routed daemon on or off by using the routed command.
Turning routed on or off with FilerView
You can turn the routed daemon on or off with FilerView.
