It also assumes that you are familiar with how the Network File System (NFS), Common Interface File System (CIFS), and HyperText Transfer Protocol (HTTP) are used for file sharing or transfers. This guide does not cover basic system or network topics, such as IP addressing, routing, and network topology; it emphasizes the characteristics of the Data ONTAP storage system.
