Woolyungah is dedicated to enabling and supporting Indigenous Australians studying at UOW.

Woolyunga Student Support Team

Woolyungah's Student Support staff offer support and guidance through the challenges of tertiary study and can recommend other relevant services available to you at UOW.

UOW Student Support Advisors

Student Support Advisors are appointed to assist all students at UOW and work from each faculty and the regional campus.

UOW Services for students

UOW is committed to support, retention and success. Woolyungah Indigenous Centre encourages all students to utilise student services such as Learning Development and PASS.

Accommodation Services

There are several accommodation options in the Illawarra area. Some students chose to live on-campus in residential college accommodation, while shared households off campus are also available.

Financial assistance

Financial assistance and resources for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students in the Illawarra, Shoalhaven and Southern Highlands. Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students may also be eligible for ABSTUDY via Centrelink.


Many students seek part time or casual employment during their studies. Use the UOW Careers Central Job Board to find work during your studies and also to familiarise yourself with graduate positions that you can strive for at the conclusion of your studies.
