Travelling From Your Suburb

Travelling to Wollongong Campus from the Campbelltown area

If you are travelling from Campbelltown to Wollongong Campus then public transport is available and is encouraged. Use Trip Planner to plan your trip for all NSW public transport modes.  The best public transport option from this area is a bus service (route 887) from Campbelltown, Macarthur Square and Appin that goes direct to UOW. See the  Route 887 timetable.pdf  for details.   You can also catch the train. The closest train station to Wollongong campus is North Wollongong Train station. Opal fares apply and an Opal Student Concession is available to eligible students. For information on Opal cards and how to apply for a Opal Student Concession visit - uow.edu.au/student/central/travelpasses.

There are shuttle buses that connect the North Wollongong Train Station to the campus. You can catch the free UOW North Gong Shuttle bus (refer to the UOW North Gong Shuttle bus timetable.pdf for operating times) or the NSW State Government Gong Shuttle (on weekends). North Wollongong Station is within walking distance of the campus (approx 20 minutes).
Driving is an option however it is not recommended due to limited parking and traffic congestion at peak times around the University. If you must drive then carpooling with three or more people is the best idea. Refer to the  UOW Parking page for more information on parking .
