Campus parking and road rules
The Access and Order Rules outline the regulations for driving and parking on campus. It is important that you are aware of and comply with the Rules.
Conditions of parking
The Restricted Parking Area Scheme applies to all University properties. Its enforcement is managed through the issue of fines processed by Revenue NSW.
Restricted Parking Area rules apply 24 hours a day, seven days a week. UOW Entry Permit and Pay and Display Ticket parking conditions apply 8:30am – 6:30pm, Monday to Friday. You must have a valid ticket, valid vPermit or active CellOpark session to park. Refer to signposted conditions in each carpark, as the options for parking differ depending on which carpark you are in.
Pay and Display tickets must be displayed on the dashboard, correct side up not behind tinted areas. Incorrect placement may incur a fine if Parking Enforcement Officers cannot check the validity.
To park in a mobility parking space you must display a valid mobility permit. This applies 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
Fines
Parking Enforcement Officers regularly check all carparks. Incorrect placement or absence of a valid ticket, and parking in designated disabled parking bays without a mobility permit, may incur a fine. Obscured or unreadable tickets will be treated as invalid.
Fine amounts for breaches of the Parking Rules and Restricted Parking Area conditions are determined by the NSW Parliament. Fines issued are processed by Revenue NSW on behalf of the University. Road rules
NSW Road Rules apply on the ring road and in UOW carparks. If you have relocated to NSW from interstate or overseas, the rules may be different for you. The Road Rules are available in many translations for international visitors.
