Calling all mums and dads!
We’re currently conducting exciting research exploring relationships between parent well-being, parenting and child development. We are looking for parents of children aged 18 to 24 months to participate in an online survey, interview and a parent-child session in our Early Start research lab at the University of Wollongong.
Our research study has 3 parts

- parent-child session

This research forms part of a PhD (psychology) thesis and two Bachelor of Psychology (Honours) theses.
The purpose of this research is to understand the significance pregnant individuals and birth partners place on the childbirth experience, how attitudes, expectations, and knowledge of childbirth is gained, and how the childbirth experience impacts on wellbeing during early parenting. We are inviting individuals who are pregnant or who are the birth partner of a pregnant person to participate in this study. You need to live in Australia, and be aged over 18 years to participate.
If you choose to take part, you will be asked to complete an online survey which asks questions about you and your family, your attitudes, knowledge and expectations of childbirth, and questions about your current pregnancy experience.
After you have completed the online survey you will be asked if you are interested in participating in a follow-up online survey, approximately one month after your expected due date. This optional follow-up questionnaire would take an additional 45-60 minutes of your time.
