Student testimonials

'It was hard at first because of the language barrier and I found myself hanging out with Germans and Australians more than Mexicans in the first semester. However, in the second semester I moved in with Mexicans and this was when I really began to learn the language and understand Mexicans culture and society. By the end of it around 75-80% of my life was all in Spanish and it just became natural.'

Robert May
Tecnológico de Monterrey – Guadalajara
Bachelor of International Studies - Bachelor of Arts

'My study abroad experience was absolutely incredible. It exceeded all of my expectations and more. I improved my Italian immensely, travelled to so many amazing places and met so many wonderful people from all around the world. I lived out of home for the first time and it really taught me so much about myself and what I was capable of. I learnt how to overcome so many challenges and how to be more resilient and flexible.'

Bachelor of Communication and Media / Bachelor of Arts (Dean's Scholar)

'For most people the initial response to things we don’t understand is fear, although study abroad let me learn to love and be curious about aspects of life that I wouldn’t have previously considered to be normal in my own life. It taught me to trust and to be open to all new opportunities and adventures.'
