GEOG335/351 Directed Studies in Geography and Sustainable Communities

Directed studies consists of directed reading, field and laboratory work (as required) and writing, leading to the production of a major research essay/project report or reports in a field selected by the student and approved by the Supervisor.

Entry Criteria

Entry is dependent on students finding a staff member to supervise their directed studies project. Students should not assume supervisor availability and must submit a proposal outlining their research interests and reason for study.

Students must have minimum Weighted Average Mark (WAM) of 75 in at least 12cp of GEOG 200-level subjects. Students who do not meet the minimum WAM requirement may still be accepted at the discretion of the subject coordinator.

Submit a Directed Studies Application Form and an Add Subjects – Faculty Approval (PDF) to geography-admin@uow.edu.au.
