2024 Future Skills Scholarship
Helping you meet tomorrow's challenges
UOW is proud of our role in educating the next generation of leaders who will address society’s critical economic, environmental, social and medical challenges.
This $2,500 scholarship will provide additional support for eligible UOW Early Admission offer holders to pursue a degree in specific skills areas that are a national priority, such as:
- Business
- Computer Science/IT - in particular Cyber Security
- Education
- Engineering
- Exercise Science
- Nursing
- Public Health
- Social Work
Courses that will be eligible for the 2024 Future Skills Scholarship will be confirmed soon.
Eligible students will be offered a 2024 Future Skills Scholarship if they live in Illawarra, Wingecarribee or Metropolitan Sydney and have an Early Admission offer to study a relevant course at UOW in the Autumn 2024 session.
To receive this scholarship, students must be enrolled full-time at the 2024 UOW Autumn Session census date, 31 March 2024.

UOW will contact all eligible students directly via phone and email in December 2023 to provide further information and instructions. This will include how to accept your scholarship offer and complete the required forms.
In order to receive the scholarship, students must be enrolled in subjects via the UOW enrolment system and have signed a UOW scholarship agreement.
This scholarship is limited to students who applied via our flagship Early Admission program. Applications close 11 August.
Students who don’t apply for Early Admission are still welcome to apply for a range of other UOW Scholarships.
This scholarship is designed to assist students in key locations who wish to study at UOW in 2024. This scholarship is unable to be deferred to later years.
Yes. You can still apply for, and receive other UOW or externally funded scholarships or support, along with this scholarship.
