How is this program run?
This program is running face-to-face only.
What will I do?
You will work as a team to present a short (one hour) mental health literacy program to adolescent males in sports clubs, in order to educate them around mental health and mental illness and how they can help each other out both on and off the field.
How will I benefit?
You will develop skills in my own mental health literacy, as well as team work, leadership, problem solving and organisation skills, and public speaking and group facilitation.

Are there any special requirements for this role?
- Volunteers will need to complete a working with children check and have available own transport to and from different sports clubs in the Illawarra and/or Sutherland.
- Completed Mental Health First Aid training or have intentions to complete it soon.
Minimum requirements for UOWx recognition
To receive UOWx recognition, you must complete the following:
- An "engaged" student will need to complete a minimum of 20 hours within a calendar year
- A "highly engaged" student will need to complete a minimum of 35 hours within a calendar year
