It’s time to start thinking about your subjects for 2022. There are a few steps you need to take and we’ve put together some information to help you.
Enrolling in subjects
You can enrol in your subjects for Autumn/Trimester 1 2022 from 22 November 2021.
1. How to choose your subjects
To see which subjects you need to complete, you need to refer to the Course Handbook for the year you commenced your course. The Course Handbook outlines the requirements of your course including subjects, majors, minors, or specialisations.
If you commenced your course in 2021
Search for your course using the new Course Handbook and make sure you are using the 2021 (not 2022) version. If you get stuck the Handbook User Guide provides instructions about how to use the new handbook, or you can check out the FAQs.
If you commenced your course prior to 2021
Course Handbooks prior to 2021 can be found here. Please note these handbooks contain links to outdated subject information, so you’ll need to use the new handbook for information about your subjects in 2022.
2. Find out which subjects are being offered in 2022
No matter when you started your degree, you’ll need to use the new Course Handbook to find information about subjects in 2022. We’ve put together some easy steps to help you through this process. You’ll also be able to see which session/s and campus a subject is on offer when you enrol via SOLS.
You can also refer to the Subject Timetable to see what subjects are running in 2022.
3. Re-enrol:
- Log in to SOLS and select ‘Enrolment and Variations’ from the left-hand menu
- Enter the subject code in the space provided (some subjects are offered in more than one session. Be sure to select the correct session); and
- Click ‘add subject’.
For more information on how to enrol in subjects visit the UOW website.
Restricted course status:
If you are on a restricted course status, you will need to make an appointment with your Faculty to get academic advice and approval before you can re-enrol. Contact Student Services to make an appointment. If you are on a pending course status and awaiting the result of a subject from a previous session, you should still enrol into at least one subject.
Leave of Absence:
If you do not wish to study in 2022 but want to keep your place in your course open, you should apply for a Leave of Absence.
