NSW Health has issued a public health alert for venues in Sydney including Bondi Junction, Vaucluse and North Ryde.
Anyone who attended these venues during the times and dates listed is considered a close contact and must immediately follow the health advice listed against the relevant venue. This includes:
This list of venues will be updated as investigations continue, so please check the NSW Health website regularly.
If you have been to any of these venues, please do not visit a UOW campus for any reason, whether it be to attend a class, an exam or to study. This also applies to those who have been partially or fully vaccinated.
UOW will continue to monitor guidance from authorities to ensure a safe environment across all UOW campuses.
In the meantime, we encourage all students to remain COVID-Safe on campus, by:
- Continuing to maintain physical distancing wherever possible,
- Following occupancy limits, so check room signs at entry points,
- Making use of the hand sanitiser and disinfectant wipe stations installed around campus,
- Continuing to check-in using QR codes.
Students are encouraged to find out when and where they can receive a COVID-19 vaccine, book an appointment if eligible, or register interest. Check your eligibility here.
We appreciate this may be a challenging time and encourage students to seek support through UOW Support Services if needed.
