UOWx Award

The UOWx Award program is an 8–9-week program that teaches students how to articulate and sell their co-curricular experiences to potential employers. Throughout this program, students will engage in activities and workshops that further develop their employability skills.

If successfully accepted into the UOWx Award program, you will be enrolled into a Moodle site to complete the task requirements over the course of the program.

Throughout the program you will engage in:

• The UOWx Program Launch where you will meet fellow Award students and receive further information on the program requirements
• An Alumni workshop to hear from UOWx Award Alumni and ways to connect with UOW after graduation
• Careers & Employability services including participating in their workshops and receiving feedback on your resume
• Submitting a final reflective piece demonstrating your learnings from your UOWx journey
• End of Year celebration ceremony to network with fellow Award students, UOW staff and industry

To be eligible for joining the UOWx Award Program, it is required that:

• Your academic marks are minimum a PASS in all subjects for the previous year of study.
• You have completed or capable of completing two Learning Stream Awards by the end of the 8–9-week program.

The UOWx Award Program is paused for Autumn and will return in Spring. A link will be available on our website when applications are open.

If you do not get accepted, you can apply again as long as you have one semester left of study.

There is a digital certificate provided upon graduation through My eQuals alongside your academic transcript and UOWx Record. There is no physical certificate provided but upon successful completion of the UOWx Award program, there is an end of year celebration event to celebrate your achievements and mingle with other students from the program. The end of year event is typically held at the end of November or early December.
