Changing your graduation preferences

Attending or not attending a ceremony

If you change your mind about attending a ceremony after you have submitted your graduation application, you can change your attendance option from 'not attending' to 'attending', or vice versa. Please note that you do not need to withdraw your graduation application.

To change your attendance:

  1. Login to SOLS

  2. Select 'Graduation Application'

  3. Select 'Review'

  4. Select 'Change Attendance' and change your attendance to the desired option

Attending a different ceremony

If you indicate you would like to attend a graduation ceremony, you will be allocated to a ceremony at a particular time and date. Unfortunately you cannot change the graduation ceremony you have been allocated to, attend a ceremony in a later ceremony round, or attend a ceremony in a different year. Similarly, if you elect not to attend a ceremony when you apply to graduate, you will not be able to come to a ceremony at a later time.

Withdrawing your application

If you no longer wish to graduate you must withdraw your application. By withdrawing your application you will NOT 'finish' your degree, you will not receive any official documents and will not be able to use your title or post nominals.

To withdraw your application:

  1. Login to SOLS

  2. Select 'Graduation Application'

  3. Select 'Review'

  4. Select 'Withdraw Application'

Make sure you check the Key dates for changes to your application as if you miss the last date to change your preferences, you'll be charged a fee (even if you don't attend/graduate).
