UOW Women of Impact

Promoting and profiling UOW’s outstanding academic women and their achievements.

In 2015, we launched the 40 Years of Research Impact initiative to celebrate the achievements of UOW researchers, coinciding with the University’s 40th anniversary of independence.

In 2016, we will continue the UOW Impact series with the ‘UOW Women of Impact’ initiative; to acknowledge the important contributions to research and teaching by women academics across all academic levels and disciplines.

UOW Women of Impact is inspired by the Science in Australia Gender Equity pilot and other initiatives the University is undertaking to review, assess and improve gender equality. It aims to recognise and encourage women academics across all disciplines who are pursuing research of major importance, who are making a significant contribution to advancing knowledge, who are demonstrating success in teaching and learning, and/or who act as mentors and role models to others.

UOW has many outstanding women academics and this initiative aims to recognise their contribution to our research and teaching successes.

Further details about UOW Women of Impact can be found on the UOW Intranet.
