Where to Park
The major carparks on campus are numbered P1 to P8 and are divided into different categories:
Types of Parking
- Short-term Parking Station parking (P1, P6).
- Pay & Display parking (P3 north, P4, P7 west, P8 south).
- Carpool parking (P4 north).
- Permit parking.
- Reserved parking.
- Disabled parking.
The first two of these categories are known as Ticket parking. These are available to students and visitors.
Carpool parking is available to any car which has brought 3 or more people to the Uni.
Permit and reserved parking is limited to staff.
Parking for Motorcycles is available by permit in special parking bays in P1, P2, P5a and P7, or in the parking stations at normal ticket prices.
Ticket parking is available on a first-come, first-served basis in signposted spaces. Parking is free in the Short-term Parking Stations for 30 minutes – fees then apply.
Permit parking is available for staff, but spaces are not guaranteed.
Spaces are limited and in high demand, so avoid delays and catch the free shuttle bus, or travel by public transport or bike – it's easier and greener.
