Information for Students
Parking can be the pits
Let's face it, there are never going to be enough spaces for everyone to drive their car to the campus. Congestion and parking problems mean that it is much better to use public transport, walk, ride a bike or carpool - it is easier and greener.
Where to Park
Parking on Campus is divided into different categories.
Ticket parking is available for students in the following areas. This works out cheaper than parking station parking, which is intended for short-term parkers only:
- Pay & Display ticket parking (P3 north, P4, P7 west, P8 south) in signposted spaces.
- Parking Station parking (P1, P6).
- Carpool parking (P4 north) - tickets are released when demand for carpooling is low.
Spaces are limited and in high demand - check availability now.
Any vehicle parked on the Wollongong Campus must display a valid parking ticket or permit. Ticket holders may only park in designated ticket bays or areas. Fees apply. Penalties apply to cars not parked correctly.
Free Carpool Parking
Make the most of your car, save on travel and reduce your carbon emissions. If you carpool and have three or more people arriving at the University together, you will get free parking on campus (subject to availability).
Free Shuttle Buses
Free shuttle buses are ready to connect you to the University, Innovation Campus, North Wollongong Station and everything on offer in Wollongong.
Hundreds of students every day feel great and save money by cycling to Uni. All paths are shared and cycle parking is convenient, uncongested and safe. You will find undercover secure parking available on the Wollongong and Innovation Campuses.
