MIND The GaP

What is MIND the GaP?

MIND the GaP is an initiative that works with the community to improve the mental health and wellbeing of all residents of the Shoalhaven region.

It is delivered by a consortium of partners led by Shoalhaven City Council and the University of Wollongong (UOW) and is jointly funded by the Commonwealth Government and UOW. Working with established community services, this consortium of partners will harness their expertise and skills to:

  • deliver best quality health care practice
  • undertake innovative research that informs practice
  • develop strong community engagement strategies for the Shoalhaven.

Community Consultation

We'd love to hear from you! MIND the GaP is committed to seeking input from the general public of the Shoalhaven region to help shape the design of services in the areas of:

  • suicide prevention
  • traumatic stress responses
  • and community resilience.

Your awareness of local needs across these areas is important and your input will be valuable in how the services are developed and delivered. If you'd like to contribute please contact us reception-mtg@uow.edu.au

We're working together to improve mental health for everyone in the Shoalhaven and beyond!
