Recycling initiative

New UOW Library System launching 9 December 2020

We're implementing a new Library System to deliver user-centred digital services.

Find out more and what you might need to do to be ready.

Using the open source 'Precious Plastics' movement as inspiration, the UOW Student Makerspace is turning the way we think about plastic on its head.

We're breathing new life into our wasted plastic by constructing machinery to shred, extrude and inject it into an exciting array of products. From unique artworks, everyday household products, to 100% recycled building materials: the sky's the limit!

With support from the Faculty of Engineering and Information Sciences, DVC - Research & Innovation, and in collaboration with:

  • UOW Makerspace Club
  • UOW Women in STEM
  • UOW Enviro Collective
  • UOW Mechatronics Society
  • UOW Motorsports Club
  • Fossil-Free UOW
  • Jeremy Brun - UOW Alumni
