As more Library users returned to campus in 2022, it was important to reconnect with you to find out how your needs had changed.
We asked how you feel about Library facilities, resources and services. Using whiteboards and an online Padlet you provided us with hundreds of comments, thank you!
While UOW has formal feedback channels, this activity was designed as a light-touch way to gain your insights and inputs to help inform improvements. We’ve actioned some of your ideas and have also initiated or progressed many other suggestions.

After collating almost 600 points of client engagement (including 400+ post-it notes), we had 90 unique suggestions. Some recommendations were actioned immediately (see table below).

How did we collect your insights?
From 5-23 September, we set up whiteboards at Wollongong and Shoalhaven campus libraries asking: What are we doing well? What could we be doing better? What else should we be doing?
We also set up an online Padlet and embedded it on the Library homepage for people to anonymously submit comments as well as have the ability to vote on other users’ comments.
The whiteboards also featured a QR code with a link to the online Padlet, providing a touch-free, COVID-safe option. Open and anonymous, the whiteboard and Padlet allowed students to see each other’s responses, fostering engagement and a sense of connection.
All contributions were submitted anonymously, and no personal details were recorded, stored or shared.
