Overview

Strength and conditioning is the study of how the human body can adapt to various forms of strength, resistance, interval or endurance training over time.

The degree will broaden the employment scope for those working as strength and conditioning professionals in this growing profession where qualifications are increasingly essential.

The Graduate Certificate is also suitable for those people who wish to enter the strength and conditioning industry or for those current fitness leaders, personal trainers etc who want to broaden, advance and future- proof their career.

The Graduate Certificate may provide a pathway for further studies or roles in the strength and conditioning profession.

Career pathways include: working with elite sports people and teams, personal training, coaching and health promotion across the lifespan in different populations.

Course Learning Outcomes 

Course Learning Outcomes are statements of learning achievement that are expressed in terms of what the learner is expected to know, understand and be able to do upon completion of a course. Students graduating from this course will be able to demonstrate:

Course Structure 

To qualify for award of the degree, the Graduate Certificate in Strength and Conditioning, a candidate must successfully complete at least 24 credit points in accordance with the table below.
