Overview

All educators require an understanding of how people learn, how to implement effective learning experiences, and technologies to support the learning process. They also need a comprehensive knowledge of and respect for diversity amongst learners. This course prepares you for a range of careers in any context where the principles and approaches of teaching and learning can be applied.

This degree does not provide a qualification for teaching in Australian primary schools or high schools.

Entry Requirements

This qualification is available as an exit-only qualification for students enrolled in the Master of Teaching (Primary) or Master of Teaching (Secondary).

Course Learning Outcomes

Course Learning Outcomes are statements of learning achievement that are expressed in terms of what the learner is expected to know, understand and be able to do upon completion of a course. Students graduating from this course will be able to demonstrate:

5 Analyse, interpret and effectively communicate the complexity of factors influencing learning to students, stakeholders, and colleagues.

The Graduate Diploma in Education Studies requires the successful completion of 48 credit points in accordance with the table below.
